Winemaker's Details:
Deep crimson hue. The nose is immediately met with sweet blackberry fruit and integrated vanillin oak. The longer the wine is in the glass the more complex it becomes, developing notes of floral violets and a slight earthiness. This is followed by nuances of dark chocolate and Indian spice. Fruit explodes onto the palate, which shows a tight, fine structure and great length.
An excellent example of how the sum of the two parts excels each one standing alone.
Grape Variety & Region:
100% Shiraz (Hunter Valley and Langhorne Creek)
Drinking Recommendations :
This wine will marry well with traditional or modern cuisine. Try a garlic-infused seasoned lamb rack, using a baste of ground cumin, coriander seed, sea salt and black pepper, served with a knob of roasted garlic and Spring vegetables.
