This a great little selection from a out sweet range of wines. A botrytis that has picked up three trophies and a muscat that spent 18 years in oak, patiently biding it's time. Both of these wines are drinking beautifully now but with these cooler nights outside, the muscat is definitely one that's on my list.
This is our new release from the outstanding 2008 vintage. Small batch processing and maturation in French oak barriques has produced a wine of exceptional quality. The bouquet presents aromas of apricots, figs and nuances of spicy French Oak and lifted floral aromas of Lilac.
Rich and at the same time without the over cloying sweetness typical of some dessert wines. Flavours of tropical fruits, apricots and honey abound, finishing with a long, fine, acid balance.
Drinking Recommendation:
This wine is a must with sweet fruit based desserts and yet would be perfect to accompany a fine selection of cheeses.
